As you may or may not have realized already, "creativity" had a lot to do with me creating this Ericativity site. However, creativity is such an abstract concept that can be interpreted or defined in numerous ways. As Barron (1997) stated in the article for my class, "creativity, too, is multifactorial, and not restricted to words, numbers, images, and spatial dimensions." The possibilities of creativity are endless, which is both exciting and overwhelming for me.
Now, what has influenced or helped me to reawaken or cultivate my own creative abilities? Here are some things I've considered:
-Surrounding myself with creative stimuli, i.e. music, art, nature, creative people.
-Keeping my mind open and challenging myself to look at things in new ways.
-The willingness and freedom to express feelings or emotions.
-Novelty or new experiences.
-Exploration of myself and others.
