Dear Isabella,
Unbeknownst to you, this blog was started over a month in advance. I wanted to get it just right. However, even before starting it, I knew that it would never amount to how much you truly mean to me and how amazing I think you are. Also, this time apart while I'm in Philadelphia has given me time to think about all of the important people in my life
Our friendship started back in Fall 2009 at Fontbonne University. While this friendship was only a mere seedling then, it has blossomed into one of the most beautiful friendships I have ever come to witness. We might not be direct sisters, but we have always been kindred spirits. I also can't imagine how displaced you must have felt that first year at Fontbonne. I want you to know how much I wish I could have been there for you more that year. Then again, I guess we were both battling our own demons/monsters during that time. It's pretty cool to look back at our growth since then though. We've accomplished so much! (Take this time to pat yourself on the back. Give yourself a good hug. You've made it this far.)
Now, get ready for some nostalgia as we revisit some highlights in our friendship...
One of my earliest memories of you is when we acted in The Game together as sisters. I was Death; you were Life. Looking back, I feel as if this foreshadowed our soul sisterhood together and how much Life you would bring into me.
Speaking of your singing, I have always enjoyed hearing your beautiful voice, whether you were in the shower, in the room next to me, or at [insert Fontbonne event here].
Peace&Love Always.
Erica
