Speaking of my past self, I cannot deny that the internet helped raise me and has continued to mold me to this very day.
My teenage upbringing involved lots of internet-related things:
PureVolume is what started my music appetite, because they made some songs downloadable, so I'd just download all the free stuff. Oh, and excuse my 14 year-old self...a child seeing the world for the first time.
It's not even that I'm sad about the band "disbanding," because I knew that day would come eventually...Eleventyseven just represents many things to my life such as my high school self, the struggles of growing up, coming out of my shell, the power of the age of the internet, the ephemerality of everything that currently exists (because I'm an existential person and I like to get deep into the thoughts of existence), and the list goes on and on...
Like the band, I have also moved on to new chapters in this story of life, so I'm going to be a part of those chapters now, but this part of my story can always be revisited through memories.
I think I'm going to leave it like that.
It's been real. It's been fun. It's been real fun.
